Biography of Jordan Schwartz: I was born on August 11, 1992 in Providence, Rhode Island. My first venture into the realm of LEGO had to be when I was a toddler, when my older brother Ben recieved LEGO for a holiday. Eventually, he started collecting sets, and when I was a little older, I started as well. Of course he has grown out of it, but it has stuck with me. I kept buying and building, and putting most of my effort and enthusiasm into the hobby. I then discovered the online LEGO community, and joined the Eurobricks community in late 2006. Since then I have continued my interest in the plastic brick, and have continued to build. I frequent many online forums and LEGO related sites, including MOCpages and Flickr. I build in every theme imaginable, and have hopped on my share of bandwagon themes along the way. I have been called one of the most prolific builders online, which can either mean I have a knack for the brick, or I need another hobby. I intend to continue on with my endevour with LEGO, and I hope to work for the company someday. Accomplishments: My constant building has not only garnered me respect, but also prizes in various contests throughout the web! I have placed in Eurobricks Wizard's Challenge Contest, Pirates of the Caribbean Contest, Wild, Wild West Building Contest, Fine Clonier's Holiday Building Contest, Fine Clonier's Magnificent Mechanical Minifig Contest, Nannan's Black Fantasy Contest, and Builder's Lounge Cave Racer Contest to name a few. Along with contest victories, I have also been interviewed on LAMLradio: LEGO Talk Podcast (Espisode #43). In November of 2007, I donated a custom, one-of-a-kind mosaic crafted completely from LEGO plates to the Tomorrow Fund's annual charity auction. The Tomorrow Fund is a non-profit organization that aims to help children with cancer, and their families. Having personal experience with the organization when my twin brother Alex was ailed, I was happy to have the chance to give back to a group who helped our family in our time of need. During the live auction, the mosaic sold for $1,750 USD. And if you visit my shop, you will learn that I accept commissions. I consider each commission an honor. Many people have commissioned me in the past, from mothers, to fathers, LEGO® employees and even Universal Music Group®! And the list keeps on growing. Other Interests In addition to LEGO, I also enjoy many other things! Amongst them are reading, writing, music (rock, pop, jazz, classical, scores, et cetera), theology, psychology, politics (as a deeply distressed libertarian) and, of course, taxidermy. In fact, taxidermy is second to LEGO - it is the only other thing I can bear to spend large sums of money on. And as you browse my creation gallery, you will notice the hobby has inspired quite a few creations! I feel that all of my other interests rub off in my work in some way or another. After all, it is true when people say you can learn a lot about people from their art.
